Africa-Press – Angola. The first edition of the Africell Luanda art fair will take place from the 19th to the 21st of April this year, in the Angolan capital, with the participation of one hundred national artists.
The event aims to promote cultural tourism, formalize the work of visual artists and encourage the consumption of works made in Angola.
The fair, under the theme “From Angola to the World”, will have five galleries for exhibitors and a conversation program between exhibitors, artists and visitors.
During the three days, a platform will also be offered to artists, through galleries, collectors, curators, critics and journalists, to add value and create meaningful connections at the forefront of Angolan contemporary art.
More than 40 moderators from the art world will show and discuss important issues related to art, namely “the challenges of galleries in Angola”, “the need for an art museum”, “formalization of artistic work for the national economy” and “the Feminine in art in Angola”.
