Africa-Press – Angola. More than 30 Angolan artists will participate, from September 27th to October 1st of this year, in the American city of Newark (New Jersey), in an art and culture festival, called “Newark Arts Festival 2023”.

The artists are part of the Resiliart Angola cultural project and will present, at the event, 50 works representing Angolan culture.

The information was provided, this Thursday, in Luanda, by the executive director of Resiliart Angola, Marcos Agostinho, for whom the festival represents a unique moment for Angolan artists, as it will contribute to the dissemination of national culture, the history of people and the country in general.

Voted New Jersey’s favorite visual arts festival, the event will showcase the “cross-cultural perspectives” of Newark’s diverse arts community, as well as national and international voices in the arts.

During the event, the contributions of hip hop pioneers from the Newark area will be highlighted, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of this musical style.
