Africa-Press – Angola. A delegation from the Institute of Angolan Communities Abroad and Consular Services (ICAESC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrived this Friday morning in Lusaka, Zambia, for a consultation visit to the resident Angolan community and dialogue with local authorities.

Upon their arrival at “Kenneth Kaunda” international airport, the aforementioned ICAESC delegation was received by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to Zambia, Azevedo Xavier Francisco “Xavita”, who informed on the current situation of the Angolan community residing in this country.

Despite the end of repatriation, established by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Republic of Zambia continues to welcome a large number of Angolans, who decided to remain in this neighboring country with which Angola shares an extensive border.

According to the established programme, the delegation of the Institute of Angolan Communities Abroad and Consular Services should travel to the provinces of Copperbelt and the West, where it will hold separate meetings with Angolans residing in Ndola, Kitwe, Solwezi, and Mongo.
