Africa-Press – Angola. Deputy João Diogo Gaspar won the scientific research competition held in Tanzania, within the scope of the seminar on the “Path of Modernization, Corresponding to the Country’s Own Realities: Exploration and Exchange between the Communist Party of China and the Six Political Parties of Southern Africa”.
Organized by the Chinese Communist Party (PCC), the announcement was made by the Chinese Embassy in Angola and the award ceremony took place, this Monday, in person and virtually.
The politician’s scientific work received the First Class Prize and had as its theme “Understanding Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”.
In his scientific work, the member of the MPLA Political Bureau argued that “China and Africa must join hands to continue building a large number of roads, bridges, railway lines, power plants, ports and human training, helping to break the impasse in the development of the cradle continent”.
“Despite the uncertainties of the global economic future, Sino-Africa cooperation, in general, and Sino-Angola in particular, will continue to be among us the most dynamic, most consistent and strongest strategic pivot of international cooperation,” he highlighted.
The investigative competition, which involved 200 competitors from more than 30 African countries, aimed to encourage participants to look into China’s relationship with African countries and the paths to be taken to improve these relations.
In addition to João Diogo Gaspar, other members of the Angolan delegation achieved outstanding positions, such as Erika Aires, Dolina Tchinhama and Eduarda Zacarias, who won the 3rd Level.
The Seminar took place from the 8th to the 15th of June, in the city of Dar-es-Salam, Republic of Tanzania.
