Africa-Press – Angola. The permanent representative of Angola at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda, was decorated Tuesday, in the city of London (United Kingdom), with the “medal of the Order of Naval Merit”.

The also extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola to the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland was decorated on the occasion of the celebrations of the Day of the Brazilian Navy, marked on 11 June.

The ceremony took place at the premises of the Embassy of Brazil in the United Kingdom and was attended by members of the diplomatic corps from various countries accredited in this country.

The Order of Naval Merit is an honorary order of the Federative Republic of Brazil and its creation aims to honor military personnel from the Brazilian Navy, as well as national or foreign figures who stand out in the exercise of their activities.
