Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan writer Isabel Ferreira presented her poetry book entitled “Kissangua Agridoce” on Friday in Porto (Portugal), in an event attended by students of the Faculty of Letters, University of Porto.
According to the writer, the presentation of the work at the Faculty of Letters is due to the fact that it is dedicated to the knowledge and study of literature.
“The idea was to hold the event with students and the general public, to address and analyze the issue of Kissangua Agridoce in the literary and poetic context”, he said.
Isabel Ferreira shows in the work that, from words used in Angola, one can deconstruct and place the term Kissangua Agridoce, in a poetic, literary and cultural context.
The work, with more than 200 pages, is a poetic anthology, which is characterized as a polysemic work, filled with images and synesthesia, where the reader can “drink”, extract several readings, feel identified with some poems and naturally also to see in itself an exemplifying motto of sentimental life.
According to the writer, placing the work on the market represents a victory that she achieved with the help of God and the solidarity that characterizes Angolans.
The presentation of the work was in charge of the responsible for the Literature area of the mentioned institution, Francisco Topa, of the Angolan journalist Alice Berenguel and of the cultural activist Carlos Gourgel.
The book Kissangua Agridoce was launched in December 2022, in Lisbon.
The writer was born in Luanda on May 24, 1958. She graduated in Law, in Angola, and in dramaturgy at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Amadora, Portugal.
His repertoire includes the poetry books “Laços de amor”, “Caminhos Ledos”, “Nirvana” and “The margin of words”.
