Twenty-six young Angolans living in the diaspora highlighted, this Tuesday, in the city of Uíge, the economic and social growth that the country has registered, as a result of the construction of roads, bridges, electrical dams, hospitals, centralities and other socioeconomic advances.
The delegation, made up of young people from South Africa, Namibia, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic, expressed this position at the end of the visit to the various social infrastructures built and under construction at the headquarters capital of the province.
Speaking to the press, the delegation’s spokesperson, Ernesto Miúdo, said that the delegation left with a positive impression about the country’s current reality, as a result of the Executive’s work and commitment to improving the country’s social situation, with the construction and rehabilitation of various infrastructures.
He mentioned that Angolans residing in the diaspora join the Executive’s actions, in order to contribute to the country’s development in various areas.
The general secretary of the Angola Real National Movement (MONAAR), an organization that aims to provide the diaspora community with the opportunity to see the current state of the country, highlighted the various works underway in the capital of the province of Uíge, with emphasis on the new HGU and the Quilomosso football stadium, Uíge Technological Center and other infrastructure built in the region.
In turn, the deputy governor for the political, social and economic sector, Sónia Arlete, expressed the openness of the local government to Angolans residing in the diaspora and who wish to work and invest in the province.
In the meeting she held with young people living in the diaspora, Sónia Arlete presented the various projects under construction and rehabilitation in the province, in the areas of education, health, agriculture, roads, water and electricity supply systems, professional training, among other projects..
The aim of the visit by Angolans living in the diaspora is to show the country’s current reality in various areas, so that they can return and contribute to its development.
The delegation from the diaspora, which arrived in Angola in recent days, has 300 delegates from various countries who traveled to different provinces of the country, to learn about the social and economic reality of the country.
On this first day of the visit, the delegation, accompanied by vice-governor Sónia Arlete, visited the construction works of the new HGU and the Quilomosso football stadium, Instituto Médio de Saúde and the Uíge Technological Center.
On Friday, the delegation will head to the municipality of Ambuila, where they will visit the Nzenzu caves, one of the seven wonders of Angola.
