Africa-Press – Angola. Four inspectors from the National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety (ANIESA) were arrested today by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) for trying to extort five million kwanzas from a trader in Viana.
“The inspectors were caught receiving five million kwanzas, an amount that would be a consideration to hide a fine that was imposed on the said citizen’s company, the fine was valued at 137 million kwanzas, in this fraudulent deal, they intended to receive from this citizen’s hands. trader five million kwanzas, for several infractions related to the lack of a sign, lack of a basic structure for price calculations, among other elements that presented infractions in this mentioned company”, explained the SIC spokesman to RNA, Manuel Halaiwa.
“Individuals will be present to the Public Prosecutor’s Office today for the application of measures of personal coercion, on the part of the SIC will continue efforts to fully clarify this crime”, clarified the same source.
