Speaking at the closing homily of the pilgrimage to Muxima, which took place from the 4th to the 7th of this month, he appealed to Angolans to act responsibly, at this time, to avoid tensions and conflicts.

Archbishop Filomeno Vieira Dias urged believers to pray for the country and its rulers, leaders, institutions and ongoing political and social processes. The religious stressed that believers have the opportunity to set an example of culture and civic friendship, affirming that the witness of each one can be a source of peace, fraternity, union, dialogue, respect and peaceful coexistence.

In his opinion, it is necessary to respect the rights of every citizen, always seeking peace, justice, concord, true progress and morality in all public life.

To the young people, Dom Filomeno Vieira Dias wished them to prepare well, instilling new strengths of honesty, competence and generosity in social relationships. The pilgrimage to Muxima had about one million and 300 pilgrims coming from different dioceses in the country and abroad.

At the ministerial meeting, which was attended by delegates from the country’s 18 provinces, topics on love of neighbor, partnerships between Church and State, rescue of values ​​in youth, violence in the home and against children, and abortion in adolescence were discussed.

The Victorious Prophetic Church in the World was founded on April 3, 1991, and recognized by the Angolan Government on August 10, 1994, through Executive Decree 23/94.
