Africa-Press – Angola. The army commander, General João Serafim Kiteculo, drew the attention of the Cabinda Military Region Command (RMC) to the importance of continued collaboration with other defense, security and internal order bodies in the province.
The general officer was speaking this Friday during the closing act of the 19th Annual Review Meeting of the Command of the Cabinda Military Region, where he referred that the stance aims to reinforce collaboration in the tasks of maintaining peace, free movement and public tranquility in the region.
He underscored the importance of the debriefing meetings, as they make it possible to assess the orders of the higher command and constitute themselves as sources of inspiration and permanent action in the granting of plans and programs that contribute to the change in the performance of the troops, preparing their improvement, in order to live up to the dispositions in the scrupulous fulfillment of the most noble interests of the motherland.
For the training year, which will start in March, João Kiteculo urged all commanders and chiefs at different levels to adopt containment measures in the management of everything that the superior command makes available to the units and subunits within the framework of improving conditions educational and patriotic combat preparation, work, food, health and quartering of the troops.
He also appealed to the attention of commanders and heads of different levels of hierarchy to the behavioral phenomenon, especially of young people, who often misuse social networks, exposing themselves in military uniform in acts that remove the dignity and good name of the Armed Forces Angolans (FAA).
This attitude, he warned, is punishable under the terms of the law of military crimes, and for this reason, the work of moral, civic and legal education must be reinforced, in order to accelerate, among the troops, the patriotic duty with discipline and civility.
He encouraged the commands of the units and subunits to create sustainability initiatives, with the promotion of activities related to agriculture and the raising of small animals and, in the troops’ free time, the carrying out of sports activities to diversify the diet as well as maintain physical health among the troops.
For two days, the commanders of different units and subunits of the RMC analyzed the political and military situation in the region and the readiness of the troops, where they considered the military political climate stable with the free movement of people, means and goods.
They were also exhorted to continue to improve the methods of elaboration and execution of administrative and operational aspects.
The event considered the instruction year 2022/2023 as promising, which aimed to provide better living conditions for the troops as well as cohesion, loyalty and readiness.
The meeting took place under the motto, “Cabinda Military Region with Discipline, Cohesion, Loyalty, Readiness and Organization, Firm for the Challenge of the Future”.
