Africa-Press – Angola. Two thousand 282 different types of bank accounts were opened in Huambo province during the Financial Fair held during the Global Money Week.

These accounts were opened at the main commercial banks, with emphasis on Banco Sol, Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI), Banco de Poupança e Crédito (BPC) and Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA), an initiative of the National Bank of Angola. .

According to the head of Division of the Central Regional Directorate of the BNA, Adilson Chilulu, 1,579 are of a normal nature, 700 stools and three simplified ones were opened within the scope of the process of financial inclusion of citizens with little economic capacity, upon payment of 100 kwanzas and exemption from maintenance and bureaucracy.

Still in terms of balance sheet, he also pointed out the issuance of 1,368 multi-box cards, as well as the treatment of an Automatic Payment Terminal (APT) for an entrepreneur.

Depending on the results, Adilson Chilulu considered the balance of the event positive, as it allowed the sharing of experiences on savings among citizens from various social strata, as well as the need for financial inclusion of adolescents and young students.

At the same time, he said that the BNA, in partnership with the General Tax Administration (AGT) and the National Institute of Support for Small and Medium-sized Companies (INAPEM), also participating in the fair, promoted lectures, with emphasis on “The Angolan tax system”, “Credit and indebtedness”, “Forms of support to micro, small and medium-sized companies”.

According to the official, the lectures were held in several schools of the 1st and 2nd cycles and higher education institutions based in this city, with the participation of 1,520 citizens, including teenagers and young people, local government officials, academics and bankers.

The Global Money Week took place from the 27th to the 31st of March under the motto “Plan your expenses, plan your future” and aimed to develop, among teenagers and young people, actions that allow them to make solid decisions about financial management.

The event is a Dutch worldwide initiative marked with recreational activities, lectures and other activities in order to teach children to conserve and save money.
