Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial nucleus of the National Assembly in Bengo intends to work in partnership with the provincial government, in the solution of the various problems that afflict the population of the region.

The intention was revealed this Friday, in Caxito, by the centre’s coordinator, João Mpilamosi, at the end of a meeting held between the province’s governor, Maria Antónia Nelumba and local deputies.

The parliamentarian explained that the meeting served to make contact with the report of the 100 days of office of the governor and presentation of the portfolio of projects designed for 2023.

He informed that the deputies intend to advocate with the National Assembly in order to transfer the construction project of the Nambuangongo road to the responsibility of the Government of Bengo.

At the end of the meeting, he said, the governor provided information on the OGE and informed that the project proposal for 2023 includes, among other actions, the construction of schools, hospitals and the conclusion of the paralyzed works.

He also informed that the construction project for the Nambuangongo road was not included in the current proposal as it is not compatible with the budget ceiling.

Bengo’s constituency is made up of 5 elected deputies, three from the MPLA party and two from UNITA.
