Africa-Press – Angola. The citizens of the province of Bengo want to see improvements in the basic conditions of the population in 2023 with the execution and implementation of socio-economic projects that reduce the difficulties of families.

The citizens of this region point to the acquisition of their own house, the improvement in the supply of water and light, the first job, the reduction of prices and the construction of more enterprises in the province as the main expectations for 2023.

Alongside these, they also point to an improvement in the quality of life in the municipalities, roads, access to cultivation areas, the completion of postponed projects and greater attention to peasants in the flow of production.

In the opinion of the Benguesans, the proximity to the capital, Luanda, should bring more development to the region, as the province has vast extensions of land and a favorable climate for its growth.

Heard by press, yesterday, in Caxito, student Anacleta António Kiala, said that in 2023 she wants to be lucky enough to acquire her first job, her own house and see an improvement in the distribution of water and energy in neighborhoods and communes.

Also in the province companies from various branches of activity, supermarkets, shops, boutiques and the increase in police security to reduce the delinquency that has been registered in recent times.

The citizen Manuel Sapaka pointed out the creation of more jobs for the youth, basic sanitation, the construction of higher education schools and the improvement of access roads to the cultivation areas as priorities for 2023.

In the opinion of professor Loreto Mendes, the government of Bengo should complete the work on the youth house, build a media library and create policies and actions that direct and occupy young people.

According to the professor, in 2023 the government should build more hospitals, schools, soccer fields, not forgetting the acquisition of school desks.

The counselor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, José Constantino, said that he hopes that the government, in this new year, will look at the most vulnerable people who are in the most remote areas, improve access roads to production areas, neighborhoods and communes and guarantee the basic food basket to the population.

The religious is of the opinion that the state should provide greater support to businessmen to guarantee the creation of jobs, improve the health network, increase the number of specialized health technicians and support teachers who teach in remote areas.

For 2023, Maria Soba Gomes, a civil servant, asked for an increase in the number of schools in the villages to prevent children from traveling dozens of kilometers to learn.

Delfina Teresa Lomanda, who is also a citizen, requested more support from women entrepreneurs to increase the offer of products and create new jobs.

The province of Bengo is located in the central-north region of the country, adjacent to the province of Luanda.

It has an area of ​​31,371 square kilometers and a population, mostly peasants, estimated at 429,322 inhabitants.
