In the inauguration ceremony led by the coordinator of the Superior Council of the Judiciary in Bié, José Tandala, the magistrates were placed in the courts of the districts of Cuito (5), Andulo (2) and Camacupa (1).

With these entries, the number of judges working in this part of the country increases to 19.

Inês Margareth do Amaral, judge, on behalf of the new magistrates, requested more support from local operators, in order to facilitate the good administration of justice in favor of the citizen.

In turn, the president of the judicial province of Bié, Ganga Pilantes da Silva, highlighted that the new magistrates help to respond to the procedural demand, as more than a thousand criminal and civil cases are brought into court each year.

The judicial province of Bié has three courts and a room with generic powers in the municipality of Chinguar, 75 kilometers west of Cuito.

With nine municipalities and approximately two million inhabitants, there are only magistrates working in three districts, namely, in the district courts of Cuito (12), Andulo (4) and Camacupa (3).
