Africa-Press – Angola. The National Bank of Angola (BNA) trained 50 women from different social segments, from Luau municipality, Moxico province, in matters on personal finance management.

The training action, according to a note from the local Administration, lasted a week, in the municipal town of Luau, as part of a seminar on “Financial Education”, which has been promoted by the country’s Central Bank.

On the occasion, the head of Division, Study and Supervision for the East Region of the BNA, Ivna Muanjinda, said that the action is part of the women’s empowerment plan, with a view to improving the financial management of families.

This action was highlighted by the municipal administrator in Exercise, Elias Capenda, who encouraged women in the area to create habits and a culture of saving income acquired, as well as to invest in entrepreneurship, thus contributing to the eradication of poverty in the country.

Located 334 kilometers east of Luena, capital of the province of Moxico, the border municipality of Luau has a population of over 117,453,000 inhabitants.
