Africa-Press – Angola. Fifty million kwanzas is the limit amount, per family, of the special credit line, created by the Savings and Credit Bank (BPC) for the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), with a view to financing 50 projects.
The information was given on Thursday in Luanda, following the signing of the document, by the president of the Board of Directors of FADA, Felisbela Francisco, maintaining that the overall value is 2.5 billion kwanzas.
According to the manager, the initiative, coinciding with the celebrations of Angola 50th anniversary of independence, marked on November 11, has as its main objective to continue to support farmers, promote financial inclusion and increase family income.
She explained that the financial product, in its pilot phase, is available to individual farmers, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, with an interest rate of 5% and a grace period of one year of capital and nine months of interest.
Regarding the agreement signed with the JF Fonseca group, Felisbela Francisco clarified that it is a financing contract at the level of the financial product “Transforma Aqui”.
She said that it was an initiative of the Angolan Government to promote industries or small industries in terms of processing in rural areas, aimed at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Felisbela Francisco stressed that the memorandum provides for the installation of an industrial unit for the production of fruit pulps, with an investment estimated at 973.21 million kwanzas.
By the way, the general director of JF Fonseca, Sílvio Botelho, said that the funding is intended for the implementation of a fruit pulp factory, in the industrial hub of Catumbela, in an area of 5 thousand square meters.
The manager said that the manufacturing unit will start within a year, with the forecast of processing 362 tons per year, with a focus on passion fruit, mango and pineapple pulp.
The signing of the Protocol was witnessed by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano.
