Africa-Press – Angola. The business sector of Angola and Kenya signed, this Wednesday, in Nairobi, a strategic cooperation agreement to boost commercial activity between the two States, an act witnessed by the Angolan Ambassador to Kenya, Sianga Abílio.According to a document, the instrument signed by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries took place on the sidelines of a Private Sector Forum, held on the sidelines of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR).
The aforementioned signed agreement is part of the 12 Memoranda of Understanding signed between the Republic of Angola and Kenya, during the visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in October 2023.
The act, considered fundamental for the development of the economy of public and private sector stakeholders, also includes the holding of forums for establishing business between Angolan and Kenyan companies.
In reaction to the memorandum, the president of the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIA), Vicente Soares, said that the exercise represents “a concrete mark of the strengthening of cooperation between two countries at a very high moment in local business relations”.
