Africa-Press – Angola. The bust of the first president of Angola, Agostinho Neto, was unveiled this Tuesday at the National Museum of Luzaka, capital of Zambia.

In a ceremony witnessed by African diplomats, it was up to the Ministers of Culture and Tourism of Angola, Filipe Zau, and the Minister of Water and Sanitation Development of Zambia, Mike Mposha, to cut the inaugural ribbon.

The ceremony, which was attended by the widow of the founder of the Angolan nation, Maria Eugênia Neto, was also marked by the offer of bibliographic and audiovisual material from the António Agostinho Neto Foundation to the National Museum of Luzaka.

The bust, sculpted by Won Thae Sop and Kim Sol Go, is made of bronze and is 100 cm high, weighs 154 kg and was produced in Luanda in 2015, under the supervision of the former President’s widow.
