CANFEU brought valuable contributions to improving education – vice-governor

Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor for Technical Services and Infrastructures of Huambo, Elmano Francisco, stated Sunday, that the 19th edition of CANFEU allowed valuable contributions to be made to improve the quality of education and the well-being of the population.

The person in charge was speaking at the end of the 19th edition of the National Holiday Camp for University Students (CANFEU-2023), which took place from the 5th to the 8th of this month, on one of the farms in the municipality of Caála, under the motto “University youth love the homeland and make Angola to grow”.

Elmano Francisco said that during CANFEU, which returns to Huambo 21 years after the first edition, the provincial government welcomed many contributions that will help improve higher education and the quality of life of the local population.

These contributions, according to the person responsible, were collected due to the criticisms and suggestions presented by the canfeistas, during the visits they made to public investment projects underway in the province.

He said that in their criticisms and suggestions, university students presented messages whose contents are full of patriotism and popular desire to help the Angolan Government.

“We accept, with elegance, the criticisms and suggestions presented by our young people. The province emerges victorious with the presence of the canceistas and their image, clearly, elevated, because they brought good ideas to improve government action”, he said.

Therefore, Elmano Francisco reiterated the Huambo Government’s commitment to maintaining investment in roads, schools, hospitals, technical-vocational training centers and others, whose main beneficiaries are youth, despite the economic challenges that the country faces.

He said that young people must remain firm in the search for ideas and initiatives that converge towards social, economic and cultural development, as this is the only way to achieve the country’s growth objectives.

The 19th edition of CANFEU, which took place under the motto “University youth love the homeland and make Angola grow”, was marked by cultural and sporting activities and debates on various topics about the country’s social and economic situation.

CANFEU, which this year took place in the commune of Calenga, municipality of Caála, is a youth and academic space for the promotion and free exercise of debates and constructive dialogues in solidarity and educational leisure, as well as youth expression of culture, habits and customs of the various provinces and regions of our country.
