Africa-Press – Angola. The Municipal Administration of Mussulo, Talatona municipality, in Luanda, assured, this Thursday, that all the conditions are created to receive, over the long weekend, more than three thousand people.

According to the deputy administrator of the district, Natividade da Silva, speaking to press this Thursday, the “machine” is currently ready to accommodate approximately more than three thousand people, including nationals and foreigners.

“The conditions have been created, with emphasis on transport by sea (vice versa), police security, reception and recreation in resorts, clubs, residences and beaches in collaboration with the private sector”, he revealed.

He underlined that the administration and security bodies work together with the existing means to guarantee comfort and safety to tourists, who chose the Mussulo peninsula, to spend the long weekend due to Carnival.

As for the Carnival balls, the official said that at the moment he has not received any request, but the administration is available, provided that they comply with the requirements demanded by the administrative authorities.

Regarding the solid waste collection operator, he added that it has fulfilled its role, despite the limitations inherent to its exercise, and is currently preparing men and technical means, with emphasis on rolling means.

On the island of Mussulo, tourists usually stay in tents, resorts, family homes or clubs.

Ilha do Mussulo is located south of the province of Luanda, being a sandbank surrounded by a series of small islands. On the continental side, with calm waters suitable for water sports, there are tourist complexes and an enormous amount of coconut trees.

On the oceanic side, with the sea of ​​clean waters, more agitated, there are beaches of white sand and almost desert, inhabited only by native fishermen.

Luanda welcomes, in Nova Marginal, Saturday (18) the children’s class parade, Sunday (19) for class B, Monday (20) for class A and Tuesday (21) the street Carnival takes place.
