Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy to the National Assembly of the Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola, Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE), Sikonda Alexandre, urged, over the weekend, young people from the city of Mbanza Kongo, province of Zaire, to refrain from acts of violence and vandalism of public and private goods, for undermining “the healthy coexistence in society, in addition to affecting the well-being of all”.
Sikonda Alexandre, who was accompanied by the deputy of CASA-CE, Makuta Nkondo, presented the coalition’s 2022/2027 governance program. “Young people in the region must show responsible and patriotic behavior, accepting the political choice of each Angolan, for the sake of social and economic peace”, he said. “Each Angolan is free to make his political choice. For example, the MPLA militant is just our political opponent, but he remains our brother, otherwise, tomorrow they will do the same to us”, warned the politician. Sikonda Alexandre appealed to CASA-CE militants to behave in an acceptable way, avoid violence and vandalism of public and private goods, because they only serve citizens.
As for the governance program of CASA-CE 2022/2027, he said that it has as its main lines the “State Reform”, the “Independence of Sovereignty Bodies”, the “Organization of the State” and the “National Production and the Agro-industrial Development”. “We are on the eve of the general elections, so we open this period of consultation to activists and civil society, so that, through a form, they can present their contributions on how to improve justice, education, health and quality of life in Angola. “, he explained.
The contributions, he continued, “will certainly shape our Government Program 2022/2027”. Sikonda Alexandre said that the public consultation ends on the 10th of May. He also made it known that his coalition is concerned with all Angolans, especially with the low level of employability, a situation that, for him, is the basis for the increase in the crime rate present in the neighborhoods, streets and taxi stops of the busiest cities in the country.
