Africa-Press – Angola. Sixty Catholic Scouts from across Angola began a church fellowship session this Friday, aiming to consolidate the movement’s internal organization with a view to promoting the Scouting mission within the Church.

This event is part of the First Extraordinary National Meeting of Assistants and Coordinators of the Catholic Scouts of Angola, which opened this Friday morning in the aforementioned district of Luanda, in the Parish Hall of the Cathedral of Saint Francis of Assisi.

The information was shared by the event’s institutional communications officer, Alexandre Cose, who explained that the activity is being promoted under the auspices of the Episcopal Conference of Angola and São Tomé (CEASTE).

According to Alexandre Cose, the event will take place over three days and concludes on Sunday, the 31st, with a pontifical mass beginning at 10 a.m., bringing together youth and adults from the archdioceses of Luanda (Viana) and Caxito (Bengo).

The Angolan Scout Association (AEA) was founded in 1994 and has been a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) since 1999. It brings together spiritual assistants and diocesan and archdiocesan coordinators from across the country.
