Africa-Press – Angola. The president of Grupo Desportivo Escolinha Isaac Filho de Benguela, Celestino Isaac, calls for the union of the Benguelan people around the team, with a view to the dispute of the next National Football Championship of the I Division, Girabola´2022/23.
The leader is of the opinion that: “we must be united. Not for the Isaac School, but for the sacrifice to represent our province well in Girabola”, he said.
Continuing, he revealed “I have always believed in the group’s potential, regardless of the situation that led to qualification”.
For the manager, these are football situations: “we shouldn’t complain, because we made some mistakes”.
Asked about sponsors, Celestino Isaac reiterated: “if Benguela is with us, we will make a good Girabola. I ask the people of Benguela to open their hands”.
Regarding the official field to play the games at home, Celestino Isaac confirmed that there are three stadiums in the portfolio. As for contacts, he guaranteed “we are negotiating with the directorates of 1º de Maio, Nacional de Benguela and Académica”.
According to the statement nº 18/SG/22 of the Angolan Football Federation, due to the deliberation of the Disciplinary Council, Escolinha Isaac is qualified for the next Girabola, due to the disqualification of Mundo Verde from Cuanza-Sul and Malanje. Sport Clube, for “abnormal” results, in the zonal qualifying tournament for the National Championship.
On the 15th, at 15:00, at Estádio 22 de Junho, the league will be played to define the champion of the qualifying competition between the first classified in Groups A and B.
