CGSILA wants fluent dialogue between employers and employees

Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary general of the General Central of Independent and Free Trade Unions of Angola (CGSILA), Francisco Jacinto, reaffirmed, this Friday, in Luanda, the need for a fluent dialogue between the employer and employees, respecting the governing principles of labor law.

The trade unionist expressed this desire in a Workshop on “The Exercise of Trade Union and Labor Activity”, considering the need to create appropriate mechanisms, so that the dialogue flows between the employer and the employees, in order to preserve a harmonious work environment.

Aimed at the workers of the Cleaning and Sanitation Company of Luanda (ELISAL), the objective is to contribute to the unionization of the associates.

“In some cases, the lack of dialogue is due to lack of knowledge of the norms that govern labor law, resulting in a lack of approach between the two parties”, he pointed out.

He also suggested that employers get to know the law better, interpret it properly, so as not to result in violations and violation of the rights and duties between the parties (employer/employee).

On his turn, the director of Human Resources of the Provincial Government of Luanda, Samuel Sambo, representing the governor Manuel Homem, considered the union a partner of the State, due to the fact that it contributes to the improvement of the working conditions of the companies.

He drew attention to public managers not to look at unions as “adversaries”, but as auxiliaries of policies for maintaining existing human resources, with proposals for improving internal issues.

The chairman of the Board of Directors of ELISAL, Gonçalves Imperial, guaranteed that there is good collaboration between the employer and the workers, as a result of the joint exercise between the two parties.

He also added that in the institution he directs there is “social peace”, respecting and complying with the existing agreement between his management and the Workers’ Union.

The meeting was attended by managers from different areas of the company, employees, among other guests.
