Africa-Press – Angola. The chess player Laurindo Missengo won, this Tuesday, in the city of Luena, the 3rd edition of the individual chess tournament, allusive to the celebrations of the Day of Peace, which is celebrated yesterday.
In second and third position, Orlando Missengo and José Tchimatamata, respectively, had five points.
Laurindo Missengo, who dethroned Aires Cambuandi, won the peace tournament, with a margin of six points, of the seven days played in the Swiss system.
The “4 de Abril” tournament, held at the Gimnodesportivo 27 de Março pavilion, in salute to the 21st anniversary of the conquest of peace in Angola, involved 18 chess players from the junior and senior categories.
