Africa-Press – Angola. Eighteen chess players will compete this Tuesday (4th) in the 3rd edition of the individual provincial chess tournament, taking place at the Gimnodesportivo 27 de Março pavilion in Luena (Moxico), in salute to the 21st anniversary of the conquest of peace in Angola.
Taking place in the Swiss system, with a rhythm of quick 15-minute games, the tournament involves players from the junior and senior categories, organized by the Provincial Chess Association of Moxico.
The spokesperson for the competition, Alione Muzangueno, said that 1st to 3rd place athletes will receive monetary prizes.
Aires Cambuandi holds the trophy for this tournament, which started in 2021.
