Africa-Press – Angola. A municipal child protection network was created this Wednesday, in the municipality of Chitato, Lunda Norte province, aiming to reinforce the fight against the violation of the rights of this fringe in the district.

The network made up of technicians from the National Children’s Institute, traditional authorities, officials from defense and security bodies, religious people, among other members of civil society, aims to provide rapid responses to cases of violence among children.

On the occasion, the deputy municipal administrator for the Social and Community Policy area, Encarnação Agostinho, called for proactivity, rigor and commitment on the part of the network’s members, aiming to effectively combat crimes against children.

He said it is necessary for the network to be one of the main defenders and promoters of children’s rights in the municipality of Chitato, so that child exploitation, child trafficking and other crimes are combatted efficiently.

He called on the population to collaborate with the authorities, reporting crimes against children.
