Africa-Press – Angola. The two Angolan representatives in the African Football Confederation (CAF) Cup will begin their continental group stage campaign next Sunday, named (Nelson Mandela), with their eyes set on the next places.
This is Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte, which hosts Club Olympique de Coyah da Guine (5 pm) at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, for group B, while Académica do Lobito (C) travels to the field from Rivers United of Nigeria.
The objective of the two “ambassadors” of Angola is to reach, in this first stage, the semi-finals of this second biggest football competition on the continent, after the Champions Clubs League, where they will be engaged, from this weekend onwards, Petro de Luanda (national champion).
The Lundas are in the same series as Zamalek from Egypt (winner of the 2019 edition), CO Coyal from Guinea and Abu Salim from Libya.
The Lobitangas, in turn, will face in group C, Rivers United from Nigeria, Club Africain from Tunisia and Dreams FC from Ghana.
16 teams will be involved in this competition, divided into four groups.
