The need for greater attention to the periodic training of municipal administration technicians linked to the Integrated Plan for Local Development and Combating Poverty (PIDLCP) is included in the recommendations issued at the 1st Ordinary Meeting of the Government of the Province of Cuando Cubango, as a form of greater celerity and parsimony in the execution of projects.
The final communiqué, arrived today, states that such training will allow technicians to provide the best responses to current requirements and pay greater attention to the preparation of documents, in accordance with the law, as well as compliance with the actions previously defined by the plan, to achieve the goals set by the Executive.
The statement states that the PIDLCP in the period between January and November 2023 was budgeted at a value of more than two billion kwanzas, distributed across all municipalities in the province, with emphasis on actions aimed at expanding the structural water network and basic sanitation and support for citizenship actions.
Other actions outlined and implemented within the scope of the aforementioned plan relate to the construction and rehabilitation of social and rural infrastructures, primary health care, promotion of agriculture, livestock and fishing, as well as cultural and sporting actions, promotion of tourism and allocation of school meals.
Regarding the state of play in the social action, family and gender equality sector, assistance will be provided, in 2023, to 39,439 families who are in a situation of vulnerability and extreme poverty.
Within the framework of the “Kwenda” social monetary transfers, 23,312 households benefited in the municipalities of Cuito Cuanavale, Cuchi, Rivungo, with registration currently underway in the municipalities of Dirico, Calai and Cuangar, in addition to the 190 families covered by the “Mamã” program. Lift up”, which aims to empower 500 families across the province.
