Africa-Press – Angola. The participants of the 24th session of the Provincial Family Council in Huambo recommended, Tuesday, the need for joint efforts, between psychologists, sociologists and religious women, to raise citizens’ awareness of their rights and duties.

The recommendation is expressed in the final communiqué of the event, held in the municipality of Ucuma, chaired by the governor of Huambo province, Lotti Nolika.

According to the document, with the union of synergies between psychologists, sociologists and religious entities, families will be more aware of their rights and duties in society, with a focus on strengthening mutual respect and reducing domestic violence, solidarity and other common welfare practices.

They also recommended the dissemination of aspects related to the empowerment of women, mainly in rural areas and in churches, so that this fringe continues to evolve socially and economically.

The participants defended the carrying out of mass training campaigns for families and students, as well as cooperation with the Angolan State on education and preservation of the environment, rational use of water and the planting of trees.

The Provincial Family Council in Huambo, which included municipal administrators, representatives of political parties with parliamentary seats, religious entities and traditional authorities, was preceded by 11 municipal sessions, which debated various themes, with the participation of 803 individuals locations.

During the event, under the motto “Social inclusion of families, well-being and dignity for all”, themes related to the Rights, duties and responsibilities of families, Education from a gender perspective and the culture of peace, the role of the family were discussed. in promoting the environment and the status of the Family Code.
