Africa-Press – Angola. Relations between Angola and Ethiopia continue to gain new momentum, with the holding of high-level bilateral, regional and international meetings and business forums, which aim to deepen collaboration in strategic sectors. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, has been in Addis Ababa since yesterday for a 24-hour visit to the Ethiopian capital, which reflects the political commitment of both countries to consolidate diplomatic and economic ties, in line with the principles of pan-Africanism and the objectives of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
During this working mission, the head of Angolan diplomacy is accompanied by ambassadors José Paulino Cunha da Silva, Director of International Cooperation, and António Nascimento, Director of Institutional Communication and Press, both from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Téte António arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday from Cairo, Egypt, and was welcomed at Bole International Airport by Ambassador Yema da Silva, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Angolan Diplomatic Mission in Ethiopia and to the African Union, on behalf of Ambassador Miguel Bembe. The visit by the Angolan head of diplomacy comes within a context of growing rapprochement between Luanda and Addis Ababa, resulting in frequent diplomatic exchanges and cooperation initiatives in the political, economic and multilateral fields.
