The sailor Valdir Francisco of the National Sailing Team, Optimist class, may miss the trip to South Africa, for the African Championship, to be held from the 24th of this month to the 1st of October, in Cape Town, due to the passport has not been issued by the Emigration and Foreigners Services (SME).
The head of the Angolan delegation, Rui Albuquerque, told that all the athletes already have their passports issued, but “the only one who has not resolved the situation so far is Valdir Francisco little, because we are already counting down to the stage of the competition”, he said.
Valdir Francisco, 15 years old, is one of the cornerstones of Moisés Camota in the national team, for leading the list of the best sailors in his class at the national level in the current season.
The leader argued that the other administrative aspects inherent to the trip are safeguarded.
“As far as the tactical and technical aspects are concerned, the selection has entered the final stage of preparation. In general, we already have all the support material for athletes paid for, and we are still waiting for a carrier from Lisbon to bring the sea equipment and wait for the scheduled date for the trip, on the 21st of this month”, he assured.
Moisés Camota is smoothing the last edges of driving techniques, focusing on the knowledge of the vessel in the aspects of dynamic tuning, static and sailing tuning.
The sailors Valdir Francisco, Henrique António, Carlos Jamba, Wilson Camota and Victória Camota designed the Africano with the aim of revalidating the titles, by team and individual.
