Africa-Press – Angola. Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, 12 positive cases of Covid-19 and the recovery of 36 people, without any death as a result of the disease, says the bulletin on the epidemiological situation presented yesterday by the National Directorate of Public Health ( DNSP).
Of the 12 registered cases, 11 are residents of Cabinda and one in the province of Luanda. The infected citizens are aged between 30 and 57 years old, all being male. The bulletin also mentions that of the 36 people recovered, 23 live in Cunene, 11 in Uíge and two in Bengo.
In the last 24 hours, 2,019 samples were processed by RT-PCR exams, with a daily positivity rate of 0.6 percent, bringing to a total of 1,431,471 samples taken since the beginning of the pandemic, with a rate of 6.9 percent positivity.
With these data, the epidemiological picture of the pandemic in the country registers 98,758 positive cases, of which 96,716 recovered, 1,900 deaths and 142 active.
Of the total number of active cases, none are in a critical condition, one is severe, the same number of moderate, two mild and 138 asymptomatic.
Four patients are being hospitalized in the country’s health units, ten people are being followed in institutional quarantine and 138 are under epidemiological surveillance.
