Angola has not recorded any death from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, on a day when it reported 21 new infections and the recovery of seven people who had tested positive for the disease, according to the newsletter of the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP) distributed , Friday (4), to the press.
According to the document, infections were reported in Luanda (18) and Namibe (3). The infected are aged between 2 and 69 years old, 14 being male and seven female. With regard to those recovered, all were registered in Namibe.
With these data, the country accounts for 98,340 positive cases, of which 1,896 died, 95,666 recovered and 778 were active. Of this number, two are severe, seven are moderate, 18 have mild symptoms and 751 are asymptomatic.
In Covid-19 treatment centers across the country, 27 patients are hospitalized. 16 citizens are in institutional quarantine and 751 are in home isolation.
The Molecular Biology Laboratory processed, in the last 24 hours, 1,101 samples, of which 21 were positive. Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,388,760 samples have been processed, of which 98,340 have tested positive.
