Africa-Press – Angola. The Court of Auditors (TC) will hold this Wednesday, in Luanda, the opening ceremony of the week commemorating the 23rd anniversary of its institutionalization, to be celebrated on April 12th.
According to a press release, sent this Tuesday,the activity has the motto “Promoting Transparency and Responsibility of Public Finances” and will address topics related to the mission, vision and values of this body of sovereignty.
Highlights include “Concomitant Inspection: results and benefits”, to be taught by the President of the Court of Auditors of Portugal, José Tavares, and “The Control of the General State Budget and its implementation by the Court of Auditors”, whose speaker will be judge Elisa Rangel Nunes.
“The experience of the Brazilian Court of Auditors in the Supervision of Public Policies”, presented by the Minister Counselor of the Court of Auditors of the Union of Brazil, Benjamim Zymler, as well as “Good Practices in Budget Execution”, by the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa, are also on the agenda.
The solemn opening ceremony will be presided over by the President of the Court of Auditors, Sebastião Gunza, who, as host, will give the welcome speech.
The Angolan Court of Auditors is the supreme body for monitoring the legality of public finances and its mission is to monitor the legality of the financial and administrative management acts of the State and other public and private institutions that the Law determines, in order to ensure adequate application of public resources for the benefit of Angolan citizens.
