Africa-Press – Angola. Luanda â The Angolan health authorities announced this Friday that 311 patients recovered, 721 new cases and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, among those recovered, 119 live in Luanda, 57 in Lunda Sul, 41 in Bié, 29 in Cuando Cubango, 22 in Lunda Norte, 15 in UÃge, 13 in HuÃla, 11 in Huambo and 4 in Namibe.
Among the new cases, Franco Mufinda said that 410 were diagnosed in Luanda, 109 in Zaire, 64 in Benguela, 50 in Huambo, 28 in Cabinda, 26 in Namibe, 14 in Lunda Norte, 12 in HuÃla, 7 in Bié, 2 in Malanje, 1 in Cuando Cubango and 1 in Lunda Sul.
With ages ranging from 5 months to 87 years, of which 449 are male and 272 are female patients.
In the last 24 hours, the laboratories have processed 5,038 blood samples, with a daily positivity rate of 14.3 percent.
The deaths were recorded in the provinces of Luanda, with 2, Huambo with 2 and Bié with 1, respectively.
Angola has a total of 93,302 confirmed cases, 82,592 recovered, 1,852 deaths and 8,858 active. Of those active, 13 are in a critical condition, 32 are serious, 57 are moderate, 69 are mild and 8,687 are asymptomatic.
So far, 171 patients are hospitalized in treatment centers, while 128 are undergoing institutional quarantine.
