Africa-Press – Angola. The Group of Ambassadors of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), accredited in Cuba, condemned, in Havana, the acts of terrorism in the Cabo Delgado region, Republic of Mozambique, as the respective countries have already done.
The condemnation was made on Friday, during a meeting of the group, which also disapproved of the attempt to subvert power in Guinea-Bissau, according to a note from the Angolan Embassy in Cuba.
On the occasion, the ambassador of Angola to Cuba, Maria Cândida Teixeira, in the capacity of president of the Group, asked for support for the materialization of the delegated tasks, as an organization of Portuguese-speaking countries. Ambassador Maria Cândida Teixeira, at the meeting, asked the associated member-observer countries and consultative observer-members of the CPLP to support the dissemination of the actions carried out by the Organization.
As for the proposals for the celebration of the “International Day of the Portuguese Language”, the Group of Ambassadors agreed that the activity will take place, this year, at the Museum of Fine Arts in Cuba. The members scheduled the next meeting for the 10th of May , with the intention of carrying out the activities.
