Africa-Press – Angola. The Cuando Cubango Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE) has been training since Monday, in the city of Menongue, 22 trainers who will later instruct polling station staff for the general elections on 24 August.
For five days, participants will be provided with knowledge about the constitution and composition of the assembly and the polling station, preliminary operations, voting, counting of votes, filling in and sending the minutes, rights and duties of electoral agents.
The training action, guided by two national trainers, also aims to provide mechanisms on how voters with disabilities and those who cannot read or write should vote. The acting president of the CPE in Cuando Cubango, Alberto Mbango, said that the main objective of this training is to train and empower provincial trainers who will enable polling station staff members to successfully direct the 24-hour voting process. next August, so that the feast of democracy can be celebrated in an atmosphere of joy and peace.
