Cuanhama: Municipal revenues drop by almost 60% in the first quarter

Africa-Press – Angola. The revenues collected by the municipal administration of Cuanhama, Cunene province, decreased, in the first quarter of this year, 12.4 million kwanzas (Kz), that is, 59.3%, compared to the same period of 2022, in which Kz 32.2 million was charged.

In the first quarter of 2023, the administration of Cuanhama collected 19.7 million kwanzas, through the payment of the issuance of a construction license, land concession titles, resolvable and normal income, among others.

The municipal administrator of Cuanhama, José Kalomo, told that the service (Portal do Munícipe) brings several valences and reduces bureaucratic acts related to the request for documents.

“The administration of Cuanhama has the citizen’s portal working and all documents issued by the body are paid through this system and we think it is a job that will benefit users”, he maintained.

Implemented by the Ministry of Finance, the Portal do Munícipe aims to bring public services closer to the citizen, mitigating the dispersion of financial resources and the non-allocation of these to the competent bodies for their use.

The Municipality’s Portal is a computer platform available on the WEB, which allows the provision of more than 500 services for the collection of revenues of local administration bodies that go to the aggregator account.

The Portal’s contents are classified into subjects, representing the organizational structure of citizenship and leisure.

The address to access the Portal do Munícipe is “www. municipal. minfin.gov.ao ”. The Tax Identification Number (NIF) is a mandatory requirement to access the services.
