Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial governor of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, urged, this Wednesday, the media in the province, to continue to inform society with truth and transparency, diversifying their sources of information.
To this end, João Diogo Gaspar asked for the disclosure not only of the Government’s actions, but also the concerns that affect the population, “always striving for rigor”.
The governor was speaking at a meeting with heads of media organizations, represented in the province, in which he distributed some means of work to “boost the newsrooms”.
On the occasion, he highlighted that the Government of Cuanza-Norte understands that it must work to enhance the sectors and media bodies, from a technological point of view, so that they can carry out their activity with greater rigor and transparency.
For João Gaspar, the distribution of such means as portable computers, tablets and recorders aims to “contribute to society being informed”.
Information, he continued, is a constitutional right and the Provincial Government has been working to promote more democracy in society and the media “play an important role in this regard”. I
