Africa-Press – Angola. The ten cadet and junior athletes, representatives of the province of Cunene in the “Liga Amizade” in judo, to be competed from the 25th to the 26th of November, in the city of Lubango (Huíla), defined the objective of winning the second and third places.
The competition qualifies the best judokas for the Open Continental, to take place in 2024, in Luanda, said this Thursday the secretary general of the local association of the sport, Celestino Brandão.
He said that they are 50 and 60 kg athletes from Clubes Desportivo SP, which will be represented with five athletes, Clube Força de Vontade (three) and Desportivo dos Castilhos (two).
In the first edition of the “Friendship League”, held in Huíla, in November 2022, the province participated with six junior and cadet athletes.
The Cunene Provincial Judo Association controls seven schools and one club, as well as 275 practitioners, in the municipalities of Cuanhama, Ombadja and Namacunde
