Africa-Press – Angola. The justice administration bodies in Cunene refined, this Friday, action strategies, with a focus on improving the coordination and processing of criminal cases for trial.
“We have been verifying that the bodies that intervene in the administration of justice (…) are facing delays”, informed the presiding judge of the District Court of Cuanhama, Afonso Pinto.
At the end of the 4th Meeting of the Provincial Commission for Judicial Coordination of Cunene, the magistrate said that delays occur from the instruction of criminal cases to the judgment phase in the courts.
At the end of the meeting, which aimed to adjust the communication mechanisms between the bodies, the judge underlined that the meeting defined the paths for more open coordination and communication.
“We managed (…) to reinforce the institutional connection of the Court, with the Attorney General’s Office, the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) and the National Police”, he noted.
Afonso Pinto informed, on the occasion, that meetings of this kind will continue with the involvement of local entities, in order to find solutions for the constraints that the sector faces.
Among other entities, the meeting was attended by judges and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, members of the Defense and Security bodies, as well as traditional authorities.
