Africa-Press – Angola. 1° de Agosto beat Interclube (Tuesday), 56-50, in the fifth round of the Luanda Provincial Women’s Basketball Championship.
The “military” team was already winning at half-time by five (5) points (30-25), in a match played at the Victorino Cunha pavilion.
With this triumph, the team led by coach Walter Costa moved from fifth place to second, with six (6) points, while those led by coach Elisa Pires remain in first place, with nine (9).
Midfielder Cristina Matiquite, from 1° de Agosto, was the top scorer, with 16 points, followed by Manuela Mateus, from Interclube, with 11.
As for the other matches of the day, for the same round, the Labomba team lost to 1° de Agosto B, by 30-74, and Maculusso against Inter B, by 50-59.
