Africa-Press – Angola. The writer and declaimer Azul Fênix celebrated her 37-year career, in favor of declamation, with a poetry recital at Bar Oito e Ponto, an activity that had as master of ceremony the journalist and actor Tomás Ferreira “Walter”.

Azul Fênix, in a moment of celebration, toasted those present by declaiming poems by himself and by renowned authors such as “Opio”, “Sombras” and “Calumba” by Agostinho Neto, Castro Alves, Ernesto Lara Filho, António Jacinto and others who have been regular in their performances. .

The family demonstrated that declamation is in the blood. Felizardo Cabanga, the honoree’s father and main mentor, showed that he still preserves what he passed on to his daughter.

In a night of emotion, music was present in the voices and guitars of: Cirius Vibes, Crisio, Djeize and Romeu. The declamation and “spoken word” were represented in the performances of Bel Neto, África Gomes, António Paciência, Gino Sacra, Mess Ruffus, Nark Gaspar, Zola Ramos, Pedro Bégio, Kapa Afonso and D’Mag, the Hídrico. with Antonio Kapangu.

Azul Fênix summed up: “It was a very special moment because I had dear people. António and Liliano Pedro, both digital influencers, admirers and followers of my work and of course my family, my safe haven”.

Azul Fênix has on the market the work “Vida Escritas”, a book of poetry and record and participation in several national and foreign anthologies: “Poemas de Berço e Outros Versos”, “Letters Intimas” and “Butterflies”.

She is a mentor for the Elas e as Letras Movement and the Open Conversation Therapeutic Project. With a degree in health psychology, she dreams of seeing the art of declamation be more valued and cultivated.

Azul Fênix Azul is the pseudonym of Virgínia Felizarda Borba Cabanga Monteiro, born in Luanda on March 19, 1982. She is the eldest of 15 siblings. The midwife’s daughter Beatriz Borba began to gain and develop a taste for declamation listening to her father, Felizardo Cabanga, her main mentor who passed the art on to all his children, but from an early age Azul Fênix stood out.
