Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of the Provincial Youth Council (CPJ) in Cunene, Praia Chivela, defended this Wednesday, in the city of Ondjiva, the need to transmit patriotic values to children attending primary education, in order to instill in them a feeling of defending the country’s causes.

Speaking at a meeting with youth, Praia Chivela considered it imperative to transmit values to children, adolescents and young people, within the framework of promoting patriotism in society.

He stressed that when addressing patriotism in the initial classes, the feeling of pride, love, devotion to the country and respect for national symbols increases.

On the other hand, the youth leader asked for more respect and dignity for national symbols, as they embody Angola’s trajectory.

He said that the spirit of resilience should constitute the character of a young person with prospects for growth in different areas of life, but always guided by patriotism, respect for institutions and people.

He informed that the council will continue to carry out actions aimed at raising the patriotic spirit of youth.

In Cunene, the Provincial Youth Council brings together 41 associations, with seven thousand young members.
