Africa-Press – Angola. Delegates from Huambo to the National Holiday Camp for University Students (CANFEU) taking place from the 27th to the 30th of this month, in this province, learned Wednesday, about the reality of local Social Communication bodies.
These are the facilities of the press, the provincial broadcasting station of Rádio Nacional de Angola, the Production Center of Public Television of Angola and Rádio Mais.
The delegation coordinator, José Carlos Tombo, was satisfied with the current framework of the Social Communication bodies, taking into account the readiness and level of professionalism in news processing.
The person in charge encouraged, above all, the professionals to pursue the same determination in the activities of collecting, processing and disseminating information, both nationally and internationally, in addition to continuing to be guided by discipline, ethics and deontology professional.
José Carlos Tombo, also secretary of JMPLA in Huambo, said that the visit is part of the preparatory activities for the 19th edition of CANFEU, which will take place in the province of Huambo, under the motto “University youth – loving the country and making Angola grow”, in a initiative of the National Secretariat of the MPLA youth organization.
According to the person responsible, in addition to visiting the media, pre-CANFEU includes sporting, recreational and musical-cultural activities, with the aim of promoting solidarity actions, volunteering, education and citizenship.
CANFEU, whose current edition will take place in the municipality of Caála, province of Huambo, is a rational event, organized by JMPLA, whose purpose is volunteering and solidarity actions, promoting education for citizenship, as well as cultural exaltation and patriotic.
The event also aims to mobilize higher education student youth from the country’s 18 provinces and from abroad, in order to contribute to social development, by allowing the sharing of experiences, with a focus on promoting unity, reflection, citizenship and youth dialogue, work, recreation, sport and culture.
CANFEU involves university students in socially useful tasks, through engagement in projects aimed at reconstruction, national development and solidarity, with a view to recovering social, economic and environmental infrastructures.
The 18th edition, won by students from Cabinda, took place in Luanda, the country’s capital.
