Deputies evaluate PIIM in Moxico

Africa-Press – Angola. A group of deputies from the 4th Committee of the National Assembly is evaluating the level of implementation of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) in four of the nine municipalities in the province of Moxico.

Parliamentarians will evaluate the execution of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty (PIDLCP) in Moxico (provincial headquarters), Camanongue, Léua and Luacano.

Speaking to the press, the president of the 4th Specialized Work Commission of the National Assembly, Victorino Nhami, said that the visit also aims to evaluate how public managers deal with programs drawn up by the government and their impact on the lives of populations.

Of the programs being executed, in the case of PIIM in Moxico, 83 projects were completed, equivalent to 60 percent of the 139 planned, with a global financial portfolio above 32.5 billion kwanzas.

The projects are linked to education, health, water, public lighting, earthworks and basic sanitation, among others.
