Africa-Press – Angola. Deputies from the Lunda-Norte provincial constituency will work, Tuesday, in the municipality of Lucapa to learn about the implementation of socioeconomic projects underway in the constituency, promoting the well-being of the population.
According to the agenda, the parliamentarians, three from the MPLA and two from UNITA, will meet with the municipal administrator to learn about the implementation of the Integrated Program for Local Development and Poverty Alleviation and the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM).
In the municipality of Lucapa, the deputies will visit the Kaixeta Mining Company to learn about the projects the company is developing in the communities, as part of its social responsibilities.
The deputies also aim to mediate alleged land conflicts between mining companies and rural workers and understand how policies to attract and encourage private investment fit into the context.
In addition to Lucapa, the parliamentarians have already visited the municipalities of Dundo, LoĢvua, and Chitato, where they assessed the status of identity card issuance, agricultural production, and private investment attraction policies, among other issues.
After Lucapa, the deputies will head to the municipality of Cambulo, with the same objective.
These visits aim to find solutions to the problems faced by local government bodies and submit them to the relevant committees for advocacy before the Executive.
