Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy to the National Assembly for the provincial circle of Moxico, Isolina Pinto, this Friday, in Luena, encouraged women to deepen and promote the value of dialogue in communities, for the maintenance of peace in the country.

According to the parliamentarian, who spoke about “preservation of peace and exhortation to patriotism”, in a lecture organized by the organization of the Angolan Woman (OMA), it is necessary that women are the safeguard of peace, achieved in 2002, guided by a democratic posture in social coexistence, to guarantee tranquility and national security.

In turn, on the sidelines of the aforementioned lecture, as part of the event called “March for Women”, promoted by OMA, the director of the provincial office for Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, Ester Vumbi, highlighted the reduction in cases of domestic violence in first two months of the current year.

According to the official, this year 30 cases of domestic violence have already been registered, against 57, compared to the same period of 2022.

The crimes registered this year, according to the person in charge, are related to the sexual abuse of minors and, mostly, physical and psychological aggression, some of which have already been referred to the Public Ministry (MP).
