Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor of the province of Luanda for the political and social sector, Manuel Gonçalves, considered, Tuesday, culture as a productive and independent branch for restoration, which can be a source of tax collection for the State coffer .

The official, who made these statements to the press during the fourth edition of Viana’s street carnival, highlighted culture as a sector that can strengthen the General State Budget (OGE) due to its elements linked to tourism.

He considered cultural values ​​as one of the elements that can contribute to sustainability at the level of business.

On the carnival side, he praised the dance rhythm presented by the carnival group from the municipality of Quissama in the central parade of class A, which took place on Monday (20) in the Marginal de Luanda, with a sambalage dance style.

In turn, the municipal administrator of Viana, Demétrio de Sepúlveda, guaranteed that he will continue to work to support the various carnival groups in Viana, as well as in their organization for better representation on the Marginal.

The municipal police commander of Viana, Gabriel Capusso, said that it was possible to maintain order and tranquility during the Carnival fair.

During the activity, athletes, youth and fashion blocks, as well as groups from this area that were present on the Luanda waterfront, such as União Njinga a Mbandi, Twabixila and Juventude do Capalanga, paraded.

The municipality of Viana comprises the urban districts of Zango, Baia, Vila Flor, Kikuxi, Vila/sede/Kikuxi and the commune of Zango.
